| I got my driver's license when I turned 18. Without it my life would look completely different from what it is today and I'm really glad that's not the case. |

| In order to get anywhere in my city you have to drive... unless you wouldn't mind walking like 5-10 miles back and forth but that would get annoying. Trains and buses in my area don't exist, though, I wish they would Anyway, if you have no other mode of transportation, don't worry about driving, the cars just break down in the parking lot of your school, get "For Sale" written on them, and make you angry!! rawr! Edit: by the way.... I didn't know how old this post was because someone above me just happened to revive it.........so, I'm sorry! |

| I think the major problem for most living in the UK is the prices of actually insuring the car, it can be upwards of £2k a year, maybe doesn't sound much but it is if you're a student. Been driving since I was 18, like most I would be lost with out a car, you can't beat the convenience. |

| I have my learners, but not my drivers. I haven't done any practice driving since I've gotten it, so the drivers will have to wait awhile. I do plan on getting it eventually. |
| I still have my learners license, which is basically useless since you need a parent with you. I haven't drove in a long ass time. It scares me since the last time I almost went off the road and nearly hit one of those parking cement block things when I was backing up to park. Might just go for driving lessons :/ |

| I've definitely been procrastinating on getting a driver's license, but to be honest, I really don't need one or feel like going out of my way to get one at this point. I go to college out of state, and as selfish as it may be, it's kind of nice to get rides with people and not have to take a driving shift. :) Also, the San Francisco bay where I live has a pretty convenient train system that can get me anywhere I need to go. Really the only inconvenience has to do with also not having a state ID.. |
| I've had my learner's since January. My parents aren't really giving me a push to learn, they rather me study first, because afterall, it only takes a year (120 hours). Only driven 4 hours so far, apparently I speed too much, born wreckless driver and all - I thought I'd be a granny on the road, oh well... It's nice to have some official ID in the wallet though, and when I finally can drive without someone else in the car (legally), it'd be pretty useful. I can go out many more places with ease, so much more fun to be had! |

| I didn't get a license until I was almost 19. A year later we got a 3rd car and now I drive what my dad used to use. Out here, you'd need to use a car to get anywhere. School, work. And there's no bus lines out where I live, and there's not enough trains or rapid transit. Only time I use a train is to get into the city. But I still have to take a car to the station. |

| I can't imagine not having one where I live. The public transportation is terrible beyond belief. I've had a car and a license for well over a year now and pretty much would be screwed if I didn't have one since it's how I get to school. |

| I have a license, I'm not a huge fan of driving though. Luckily I can get the car to drive to and from school, which saves time. Other than that, I rarely ever use it. |
