Also, the manga is like on chapter 12... so.. maybe they will have a 2nd season when there are more chapters in the manga..

Maria holic got a second season after a few years and this anime is way better than that one. So maybe soon or in due time there will be a second season. Well I hope so anyway

I would love to see a second season come out. I watched it a couple months ago and quite liked it. I'm probably going to start reading the manga soon, which I believe is still ongoing.

It is relatively highly rated, but not in the top hundred, but the popularity is lower. It's just that people who have seen it tend rate it well. It's not the most unknown show, but I do agree that it deserves more attention.

For what it's worth, I bought the DVD/BD release from Funimation. Good lord, I really hope Kuragehime at least finds a willing audience in the States, even if a second season is an impossibility.

i feel so disappointed :( i started watching this anime today and it already has ended. i liked the anime very much i didnt expected that it would end so quickly. i want to see what will happen with Kuranosuke and Tsukimi, what about his brother and that woman !!!!! it was terrible ending i want more

such a shame about the BD sales :(

i think they should have marketed this more, plus added more episodes instead of abruptly cutting it on the middle.

now 2 years and still no season 2 on sight :(

plus 2009/2010 was Kana Hanazawa's rising status year.

i instantly recognize her in Darker Than Black Ryuusei, Durarara!, Kobato, Bakemongatari.

come on another season wouldn't hurt, would buy the BD day 1 for sure!

Nooo, I want a season 2 way more than a live action movie. So many unanswered questions! I wouldn't think the movie would leave things so open-ended though... maybe if its successful we'll get more anime?

I gave in and read the whole manga. not an AMAZING end.. but worth it.
For now I'm just about to re-watch Kuragehime for the 4th time! it just puts me in such a good mood *.*

I know I'm late here but it has been 9 years since the anime last came out. I really can't see why they would make a second season after so long... so I think they decided to air a live drama to make up for it (since last year), it follows the story pretty well, of course some smaller characters won't appear and there are some small changes within the story but overall its incredibly enjoyable.
It can be watched at dramacool(.)video if anyone's interested, there's 26 episodes. I truly wish they could've continued but for now this is it. Maybe we can make it popular again.

its a sweet little story and the anime ended at a weird ambiguous point in the manga, it seems like its catching more popularity though so you might be pleasantly surprised.
