I have a Ps2, 360 and a DS. Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft, play what you like the company shouldn't matter so much. I have had a Wii and PS3 since release. I lied to myself, swore Microsoft is ruining games being able to spend as much money as they wanted! I tricked myself to settle with less, but now that I have all three I see the truth in the state of gaming. Sony and Nintendo are out of touch! Microsoft competes! They evolve!!!!!!!!!! This is coming from someone who camped out for a Wii (successfully), then my mom <3 came home from a trip with a surprise 60GB PS3. The first thing I said was there will be nothing for years and I wish I had a 360 as all my friends had one. Then, the next day after hearing I was spoiled - I started to pretend I was happy with it. It destroyed my sense of what good games were. |

| The PS2 is still the best console out there for cost effectiveness, power and available game library. It's a rather nice machine considering how cheap they are these days. |

| There is a lot of factors that decides what makes a system "good" and what makes a system "bad" I believe. To give an example, (mind you, these are all my opinon) I felt that the PS2 was put together like a piece of crap, but because it had a great line up of games and accessorys backing it up to keep something entertaining for it, I found it worth my time in getting. In terms of the current systems, my personal favorite is the Wii. For the longest time systems felt like an arms race. I'm in it for the entertainment and from every generation to the next it has been "MY HARDWARE IS SUPPERIOR TO YOUR HARDWARE." honestly, do I give a crap? If it worked that way, Sega would still be here and the Xbox would have rocked Sonys and Nintendos socks last generation. The Wii created a new form of entertainment for its system, no matter how cheesy it is. To me, Nintendo managed to look in the right direction and see what every other company overlooked. With that, that doesnt mean I'm 100% hardcore Wii, it does has its faults, which is the exact same faults I found in the Gamecube. The games backing the system are limited when it comes to something I actually have an interest in. Whenever I new system comes out, I find myself wanting tons of them, were I can look at a shelf of games for the Wii in BestBuy and want games A through Z. Granted, I don't really have the income to get me every new game I like, but its the potential of having options I dont have. The only games I find myself interested in for the Wii are either old console or Arcade remakes, or a small list of actual new games, most of them being a secual of something I'm diehard for and I'd buy in the first place (AKA everything Harvest Moon). I couldn't say much on Sony, to be honest I've always had a stingy additude towards them, but I won't claim the PS3 as bad, because I don't own one. As for the Xbox360, the online compatibility for the system is amazing, and the game selection is anything but limited. There's my spew, I'd write more but 50% of the world will probably skip this post as soon as they notice how long it is. =x |
| the wii is etting played out a little, and there aren't much good games besides ssbb, mario, wii sports, and muramasa. ps3 and xbox 360 are the only two that are better except that the ps3's internet is free and the price is somewhat outrageous. and the 360 is cheap by $200, plus $300-$400 for the elite, and you gotta pay for it's internet for who knows how much. so, i'm pretty much in a bind of hard decisions between the two now. |

| all 3 have pro's and con's PC also has many pro's and con's meh, what do i care, i have all 3 and a PC that can run games get as many consoles as you can, thats my advice. |

| I would lean towards the PS3, all round it may have some faults, but it has more merits. Free online play not that I ever play it anymore lol. No specified wireless equipment, people don't realise that it is actually worth the money! I would never buy an Xbox, I have a PC but I do not use it for gaming! |
