| I've noticed that Highschool of the Dead rank getting worse and worse by time. When the anime just appeared it was ranked as the coolest 109th anime of all time, now its 209th. Am I the only one who see that HOTD is becoming nicer? the 9th episode was greater than the 1st episode. so why its rank getting worse? |

| loled at the "1th" episode part but aside from that: before ecchi was just an element to it. now its become overly rediculously fanservice. I'm all for zombies and the first few episodes - now its just becoming a how many times can we put a scene where someones boobs get grabbed (more like strangled xD lol) and get their clothes wet. Truly i would have rated the first few eps 9/10 now they are more like 7/10 just cause i roll my eyes at the corny over exaggeration of the "new fanservice approach" |

I mean, sure, a lot of panty shots and whatever, not that bad. But the stress ball boobs, "I'M WET!!!!" and bullet dodging boobs... It's just ridiculous. There have been a few shining moments in recent episodes, but in the first to third episode, it was focusing on the zombie thing. Now, it's far more focused on how much fanservice can they shove into their time slot, with zombies on the side. The first episode was exciting. It was graphic with the violence. It focused most on the zombies. Now... It's just not as good. If there is more violence and scenes like on that bridge with the police, that's where it will get good. |

When Takashi slapped Rei in the first episode and killed his best friend, I thought it was sign of interesting things to come, but I feel like the show has shriveled down to a shadow of what it had started to be... It's still an entertaining show, but not really epic... Although it has good moments sometimes.. Meh. |

Anyway WITH or WITHOUT fanservice I'll give HOTD a 9/10, probably 10 but how knows. |

| Summed up pretty spectacularly by Zipcha and Kubatuba; started good and it's slowly started to degrade as time goes by. I'm all for occasional fan service in an anime, but when it reaches this level it becomes kind of depressing. |

| Granted it has become very difficult to take serious. Then again, look at the original source/manga. Did you really expect anything from a bunch of guys who do hentai? HOTD has very good potential to become the show of the decade. Thew whole boobs bouncing-matrix thing is what really kills it. Don't get me wrong, i love bouncy boos as much the next guy, but to do it constantly is... boring? |

| @supersayen I doing this for the first time because I want to see am I normal or not.When I watch the trailer at the forum,people get crazily addicted into this series and I am the only person that hate the trailer because of the mix of ecchi and zombie.... At episode 4 at 07-26-10, the score drop 0.03 just because some stupid recap...and score drop another 0.03 during episode 8 and 9 because of matrix boob and super boob harasser.Actually it is very interesting to record, maybe I will do a small report for myself for every Anime next season.It won't waste alot of time since it is just a copy and paste job. LOL I will keep doing this record until the score/rank become stable. |

| I do that when I finished watching a episode and I record it again after 2-3 days later.I don't think daily record will be interesting and usually most people change their score base on each episode making the score very unstable. of course, the most unstable score in this season is not HoTD |

| I watch it because its popular,I am just following the big crowd =.= beside,the show is not that annoying to watch.Compare to Mitsudomoe, I actually drop the show after the first episode LOL.HoTD has annoying parts that I don't like, but the action is quite fine ,so I still have a bit motivation left to follow the show. my score for this show is 7/10.... 30%hate it and 70% love it....I might change the score again if the ending is good. |
| Because it went downhill after episode 4? I don't care that much about the fanservice, it kinda fits the show. But the story isn't progressing, interesting elements like the other survivors in the bus are cast away and instead a loli is introduced instead. Also I don't like the harem setting that wasn't that obvious in the beginning. At the same time the show stopped caring about interesting story elements or the story itself by only focusing on fanservice and zombie slaughter (which is fun of course, but disturbed by above named facts) it tries to show the "big scale" effects of the disease by wasting airtime with hilarious scenes from the white house or so which totally ruins the perspective of a group of survivors who doesn't know what's going on. At least for me these are the reasons I downgraded my ratings from 6 to 8 over the last 4 episodes or so. And without Kouta it would be a 5, probably. |

I really liked the last few episodes....i mean there was a ridiculous amount of fanservice like the first few episodes....but comeon guys, we all know this is a shonen anime/manga so if you're gonna watch/read it, then why would u bother complain about it? I found that the last few episodes were really in-depth towards character and character relationship development. But seriously, at its position #, i think its a pretty good spot! |

| I like a lot of people who never read the manga probably expected much ore from this series than it was ever really intended to deliver. It's enjoyable, to be sure, but it has a complete lack of artistic merit. If you enjoy it as an ecchi/zombie show, that's fine. But realize that by confining itself into that genre it loses any chance to be anything high calibre. |

| I consider HOTD one of the most overrated anime for this season. Why? I saw people giving reviews for it from the very first episode and throwing a 10 away. I have to admit, the first episodes were good. Less fanservice, more zombie action and more mystery considering the source of the disease. Now, the anime seems to center merely on stupid fanservice scenes. The bath scene with Rei & Shizuka was utterly ridiculous, same goes with bullets dodging boobs of Saeko. Not to mention episode 9, where Saeko is apparently wet when she is killing zombies. Maybe HOTD would be better as a hentai. |

If you like it and enjoy it, THAT'S ALL YOU NEED, you don't need the approval of others, I personally love HOTD, and it could be rated a 7 or 6, I would still give it a 10. Same thing goes for the reverse effect, Clannad AS is rated above 9, I didn't think it was so great, I gave it a 7. and besides all of that, MAL has a VERY FLAWED rating system, you shouldn't give it much attention. |
