| I mean gore usually goes with the horror territory. Although I don't think there has been much occult style anime. If you are up to date on your occult lore then you can seen the occult background and symbolism in Kuroshitsuji but it is a little light on Occult. Edit~ Actually you might like xxxholic too. |

| Ghost Hunt is a must-see, then! Ginban Kaleidescope if you don't mind the girl dealing with one enitiy only xxxHolic- While she show focuses on Watanuki, Yuuko is a major player Mushishi- this also doesn't have a femal lead, but definately is like it in dealing with the occult Spirited Away Ga-Rei Zero- has some blood/implied gore, and the last two episodes (the most violent) are shown first, but does have a female lead and deals with the occult EDIT: Adding Princess Resurrection. The manga is still ongoing, but the anime has finished. It has a strong female lead and deals a LOT with the occult. |
