| i dont listen to music while i read anything manga included because i become so focused that i dont notice anything else. i don't see the point in listening to music while reading because it can change the flow of the story like someone else said in an earlier post. sometimes I've tried though and i cant focus and i forget everything.maybe the manga wasn't that great but it was frustrating. |

| I listen to music if I'm doing ANYTHING on my computer (other than watching anime or playing games). Not only do I love music (it makes me happy), but it just gets too quiet without something on. I'm extremely auditory as well, so I thrive (or die) off sound. I also find I just can't work as well without music on. It helps me concentrate. |
| I listen to music with almost whatever I'm doing, so yes. One thing I've noticed about it though, is I normally have a single album on repeat when reading a book or manga, and that for quite a while after I've finished whatever I'm reading, if I come back to that album, I'll be reminded of the book. Which is great if the book was great, but if the book sucked... =/ |

I LOVE taking exams (the actual physical activity), and thus have an inordinate amount of concentration while doing so. I enjoy the logical process. I'm also really good at them. It's the reason I've survived so far in college, really. :-) But yeah, I don't read textbooks (I can't focus, even with music), and I don't do homework unless it's required, and even then, it's really hard for me to complete it. I learn everything from lectures, which I don't take notes at (I just remember everything by hearing). I study around 6-8 hours a week. And yet I've always pulled a 3.5+ GPA in college. I just can't figure it out. |

| Forums: Yes. I always read when I'm browsing forums. It's not that I don't find you guys enlightening, it's just that music makes it a little more interesting. :P Books: Never. The music becomes too distracting, and sometimes the mood of the music takes away from how the book should be making me feel. |

| Music is my life. Everywhere I go I'm listening to music whether its thru speakers,earphones,human voice, instruments, hell when there's nothing around I look for sounds around me that make notes! I can't read a book without music. It's just an impossible task for me, I make my teachers put Pandora radio on for crying out loud. |

| I usually listen to some instrumental music while reading, but not to complicated, because, as a musician, I unconsciously start to analyse the sounds, chord progression, each instrument, blah... which doesn't help with concentrating on a book/manga. Also when I listen to songs I know, I sing along ;) Well, so mostly while reading I listen to film score :) |
