| This was a bit hard to finish, too much stalling both ways. There are so many long nonsense fights in this season, one moment they can beat a king level beast singlehandedly, the other moments they can't even leave a scratch. They get seriously injured every time, but are up and running the next scene. There is barely any room for character and plot development. The romantic line with Xiaofan and Xueqi is still so surface level, still don't see how Xueqi keeps having that lovebrain. But Biyao's heavy impact on Xiaofan's development also plays a huge role in this, man Biyao... They better have something good in the upcoming movie that covers the 10 year gap. The OST was alright, but the bgm was pretty bad and so damn loud all the time. They made a mistake by getting Mao Liang this season as the main composer. All the bgm literally sounded like a carbon copy of Renegade Immortal, which in turn made all the fighting scenes look like it, especially the tribulation... It was also so unnecessary to change everyone's model again this season, such a downgrade compared to s2... quite disappointed in this season, but welp one last season to go. 6/10 |

| Not as good as season 2 imo. The animation was still beautiful though. Hope the story will be better in the Special/Movie and season 4. |
