In the new ep why tf is it that Jin easily cut through Yomogi’s barrier with his blood but Naito “had to” create an earthquake of an attack to destroy it😭 Well inconsistency is just a small problem compared to the rest of the anime, haven’t seen an anime this boring and plain in a long time

Now that you mention it, It didnt make sense lol. Probably because Yomogi was caught off guard since Jin didnt panic at all or something?

What is even weirder is that all streaming platforms decided to bet on this particular generic edgy shonen in a season full of better shonen, Netflix Amazon Crunchyroll even mal has a collab going on…why this one?

This generic slop has Gachikuta and Summer Hikaru Whined wiped down. Gives the audience something cool to watch instead of just fake deep vIbES.

It's not about power scaling, its about the size of the barrier. While Jin cut through a small barrier that only affected (enclosed) himself, while Mudano needed to destroy a large one blocking the entire base, probably going much futher both up and down and width-wise than the eye can see. So here are two more things: first, Mudano knew that by destroying Yomogi's large-scale barrier he would provoke an earthquake; second, he didn't want the earthquake to be really destructive. He actually cared about regular people visiting the temple above that barrier, so he needed them to leave the place before destroying the barrier, hence the Homare-provoked earthquake plan. He also said that he was restraining himself while crushing the barrier so only the underground oni base would be destroyed by the quakes, but not human infrastructure above it. So Jin is by no way shown as being stronger than Mudano; just strong enough to cut through a small barrier. And Mudano used a stronger attack to crush a much larger barrier, which caused a (second) earthquake. Hope I understood the OP right.

This is exactly what I think about this scene too. They both just used their Blood Eclipse release to destroy the barrier, which can destroy the barrier, but considering Jin's situation, with the box being much smaller, it makes sense he was able to destroy it. Later in the episode Mudano also says Yomogi is "exhausted", so that can help too (since when she made the 1st one was before fighting all of those Oni).
