Do you think 3D animation will come back?

I saw people theorizing that the animation was only in 2D because the series was going back in a time where X didn't exist yet, but since Queen was introduced, X has come back into existence, so why 3D animation hasn't come back?

3D animation was one of the strongest points of the series, and all the marketing was done based on the change from 2D to 3D animation, so them not bringing 3D back in my opinion is a freaking joke.
