I was just wondering how would they get back up if they are on the 7th layer? Any predictions?

A popular theory is that when they reach the bottom of the abyss, they'll end up on the surface, kinda like a worm hole. I'm inclined to agree with this theory

i just think they won’t. or maybe i could see rikos corpse being brought up by reg or something if she passes away so she could be buried on the surface/first layer.

I wish they won't, since the beggining they insisted that crossing to the 6th level is the final dive, seeing them come back with all this accumulation would be disappointing.

Yeah, it’s heavily flagged as a one way trip. Makes the scene where Habo(the black whistle sent to stop them) actually helps them and sends them on their way pretty dark. You can even tell from his send off he never expects to see them again. It says a lot about the mentality of the whole community. I mean, just look at what they do with their orphans. 😅Notice no one is ever like, “see ya when you get back!” That being said, no telling what’s at the bottom.

This is a forbidden question... Not a single one of us lunatics who adore this manga really want to know the answer. We'll just cross this bridge when we get there. Or not, who the F can even foretell how this unholy piece of art and a masterclass in masochistic enjoyment is going to finish. it depends on what happened to the final white whistler (wakuna) who apparently went further than anyone else, they dont have confirmation on what is at the bottom of the abyss (8th part), there might be portal to go back to the top or at least to one of the previous layers, after reaching the end, also the main cast obviously has some form of plot armor because they are already on the 7th layer and doing fine overall compared to others that tried the journey

@matrix_07012 Then why does one of the main characters have a weapon capable of "overwriting the rules of the Netherworld", I am not saying that they will return to the surface, but we don't know if they will affect the current state of the abyss or not.

Predictions are that they won't come back (except for Reg), but if we're talking about theories assuming they'll try: Robotization of the body (if Reg was ever human), a larger version of the cruise-warding box, a bell that stops time, becoming something non-human using wish-fulfilling eggs so that the curse doesn't affect you like Faputa, exiting the abyss and through walls since the force field only exists in the abyss, a huge number of cardtriges and stopping relics or whatever creates the field force.

technically Reg and Faputa can go back up, Riko and Nanachi are dead meat buuuuut they could be put in those capsule thing then Reg and Faputa will carry them back up at least to the 5th layer then they can walk by themselves, ezpz
