That's why we tend to watch slice-of-life shows on repeat and why we are traumatized when people shout at us. Anyway, this show has a lot of ... I'm sure you've read the content-warnings on anime-planet. I appreciate the right for artists to go brutal, but this is a 13 episode series so surely they expect you to enjoy it. But I can't really enjoy interpersonal conflict. I feel like if I watch this show I'll emotionally pull back and get as much out of it as I would a recap of those 13 episodes. I did like the manhwa "The Horizon" (especially the second part), the war didn't have a face to it and there was nobody to really hate. Hate is really the emotion that drives me away from a series the most, I can't stand when a series tries to make me feel that, especially for multiple episodes. IN OTHER WORDS: As someone who does not find interpersonal conflict in fiction to be engaging or enjoyable, and as someone who's sensitive to violence: 1. Would this series still hold up. 2. Would it be worth the stress that violence causes me. 3. Would I even be able to finish the series (it being 13 episodes and "not meant to be enjoyable in any way"). Or in fewer words, do I need to enjoy watching violence to like this show? |

The drama it unfolds is real
we thought isekai is something cool and fun before after watching this you will change your opinion abt isekai
not only tht it based on realy world think abt it, countries like middle east countries which is similar setting to this series and not only tht "lalaru" character she is like a water element,
how people have been abusing it to their benefits .

there was one dialogue tht changed my perspective view of this drama

| @SoloNecromancer Some would argue this is actually a time travel anime and not really isekai. The story leaves hints about it. Though unlike some I don't object to it being both. |

If you get easily put off by heavy subject matter, then this probably isn't a good series for you to watch. I feel that it does a good job of tackling all of those subjects, though. The ending is very hopeful in a bittersweet sort of way, so if you decide to watch it then you might end up liking it.

Thank you two for actually answering my question. On your advice and some more reflection, I think I'd attempt to emotionally detach myself if I were to watch this. I don't think I could stay engaged through 13 episodes like that. If it was on a streaming service I might've given it the benefit of the doubt but apparently it's not. |

I’m not sure I get what you are asking but if you’re saying you can’t stand shows with violence then this show obviously isn’t for you. It’s quite literally a war drama with child soldiers also being one of the main focus points. Also yes, there are characters you would hate (King Hamdo) and many upsetting scenes in the series. The show contains heavy violence and heavy content in general but that does not mean you have to enjoy those upsetting scenes to at least appreciate what those scenes were trying to convey. If there’s a scene that’s hard to watch, obviously I don’t need to enjoy it because those type of scenes are not meant to be enjoyable in any sort of way, it’s supposed to be upsetting. That’s the point.

You have over a thousand dropped anime (more than your watching, completed, and on hold combined), and your average score is just over 5. There's no way you'll finish this and you know it.
