| I don't think it's that rare to see this trope in a vampire related romcom. Cute monsters unable to do monstery things and then they do it in a cute way with the male MC is pretty heart-warming amongst romcom reads. That's why I never thought of Itadaki Seiki initially after reading this manga. |

| I think there's literally nothing in common aside from the fact it's a work about a vampire girl/human boy romance — and there are quite a lot of these ("Rosario to Vampire" and "Jitsu wa Watashi wa" at the top of my head). Apparently the girl here seems to have "a cool demeanor" but turns out goofy and unable to do the thing her race is expected to do? But Mari STARTED goofy and incompetent, but became more confident and dominating afterwards due to being half-succubus — and turned out to be quite a skillful one. |

| Nah, you are probably imagining that. No way would the author get inspired from a πtai of all media to make a cute SOL version and extend it to a proper manga......Right?? Jokes aside, it's probably just a coincidence. The trope of a supposedly powerful supernatural creature being incompetent in their abilities and learning to master them with the help of the Protagonist is not new at all and have been done quite a few times. Also, very few people would probably even notice that a πtai version of this existed with a similar premise existed. |
