| HOLY SHIT! Hideo Kojima, you glorious bastard! I completed the main story line yesterday, and now working on Chapter 5, which is supposed to represent Outer Haven's rise to power. But I have to say, I'm quite impressed. While the core story itself isn't too strong (METAL GEAR! NUKES! GAAAAAH!), I felt like everything involving Jack and Boss to be quite touching. Even more so with that ending.. There are PLENTY of story missions, side-missions, bosses, etc.. to keep you busy for hours. I also can't shake a Monster Hunter vibe from this game, which is ironic cause of the Monster Hunter missions... but seriously, how you obtain vechiles and get extra parts for your Metal Gear feel like I'm playing Monster Hunter. With guns and rocket launchers. Also, with some of the harder bosses down the line, I can't help but feel like multiplayer is needed. Not that I'm complaining, I'm having a blast with my friends. |

| Just beat it myself. Man the boss battles in that game are retarded hard when you play solo. One of the side missions involving an attack helicopter took me 17 mins to beat. Peace Walker it's self must have taken at least 30 mins. I didn't fail, but shit is way to powerful. Still very thrilling none the less, i need to rest my left hand after 2 straight days of playing. As for the story, it's acceptable. I just don't like how Kojima takes a shit on Big Boss's character with every new entry. Turning him into a misunderstood anti hero from his evil, bat shit insane, war hungry mind set that he had in MG2: Solid Snake using good ol' retroactive continuity. Also, the story was really silly in some spots. Overall it's a good game, but flawed. (At least this game didn't piss me off like MGS4 did.) If you have a PSP, buy this game. It's the best PSP game to date. (assuming that the PSP has good games to begin with. :P) |
| This is the reason why a month ago I bought a PSP off my friend who had no use for it. I am really excited about it, considering that I am playing through MGS1 right now, good to hear that it has lived up to the hype! |

God damn, to progress the story somewhat, I have to fight all the different variations of 'Attack Choppers', 'Tanks', and enhanced forms of the AI weapons all over again. | I just finished the demo a little while ago. When I find the time this will be a definite Buy for me. Which to tell the truth is a surprise as I hated and I mean HATED portable ops making me almost give up all hope on portable games.... |

For some of the side-missions, unless you're ridiculously good in the game, then you definitely need other people playing with you. mfw when I beat it without dying once.  |
