  I write my thoughts on most anime/manga i watch/read as notes in my list, but i don't necessarily want them to appear in the "Recent Friend Updates" section on my friends' homepage (even if i don't mind them reading my notes if they happen to visit my list). As a result, i have to manually disable it every time i add a note on a new entry. I'm pretty sure there are some users with similar situation. Adding the option to enable or disable the feature for all anime/manga as the default would be appreciated. But perhaps keep the current checkbox as well, this way 3 different needs will be addressed: 1) users who want the feature to be enabled for all anime/manga by default; 2) users who want the feature to be disabled for all anime/manga by default; 3) users who want the feature to be manually enabled/disabled for individual anime/manga (current checkbox).
