A few that I've found very useful:

http://www.anime-revo.com/leon/
This guy uploads uploads currently airing series very quickly, so you can avoid all the hassle that comes with bittorent. And it's a private server, so you don't have to worry about megaupload's download restrictions.

http://www.lolipower.org/
Yes, the site is kind of ridiculous, but it's useful nonetheless. They have tons of series for direct download. Just click in the "P" "e" "d" "e" "o" and "s" tabs at the top of the screen.

http://animea.net/series
You might have to get an account to download stuff, I don't remember, but they have a lot of stuff uploaded to MU.

You have to get an account to download, but they have some stuff that I had a hard time finding reliable torrents for up for download. The problem is, they have some irritating restrictions on the time it takes in between downloads, and I've known the site to go down frequently.

They have a bunch collection of manga, but you must register and post minimal 10 ...cmiiw ... to access their download links. Most manga hosted at free file hosting mostly at mediafire, filesend and badongo.

http://anime.thehylia.com
A huge collection of anime and direct download site on top of that but limited to 3 downloads/day.

http://fourzerofour.us
Latest release on certain series of anime. Sometimes fast sometimes slow :D

yes, you can get basically 99% of ALL English scanlation ever made in history on that site + a lot of LQ (less than 100mb/eps version) anime series + anime OST + YAOI

Manga reference

www.mangaupdates.com
Infos on releases, scanlation groups. Very decent and useful. Manga version of anidb....

The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

A large portion of the Manga I seem to enjoy most comes from Aerandria http://www.aerandria.net/ including Midnight Secretary, Beast master

For some action rather than supernatural romance, Akumetsu and Onikiri Jyuzo from Izumo no Ryuu http://iryuu.net/ is good.

When I can't find things, I go to Mangatraders requires membership. For anime torrents, live action movies and manga that has been removed from mangatraders, I go to boxtorrents (let me clarify that if I like it I do buy it when it becomes available).

I rarely don't find a manga I'm looking for here.
Especially good if you're looking for shounen ai/yaoi.

She does massive manga dumps.

I think that we should start listing which anime/manga 'x' site has to offer. Kind of pointless to just keep on listing random sites until you strike gold...

wait im an officer right...that means that i can do it...err...forget what i said =P

animehash.wordpress.com

it's a list of batch torrent hashes which I maintain myself
copy hash to google or torrentz.com then you have the torrent

i update it every now and then but lately I got few time to manage it

edit: and here's a page from a MAL member ( don't know anymore)
http://katsup-404.livejournal.com/92377.html
it's actually a megaupload link collection from her account

...i call it mininova or isohunt =P

it would be nice if you actually seed the torrents so that there is a 100% guarantee that the torrents aren't dead.
