Edit: after reading ch40 I now can tell why this chapter is plain dogshit and terribly cringe, mentally ill writing. Not because of what happened. This manga shows what it wants to be and does everything it can to keep that "mystery" going no matter how cheap, which is okay and enjoyable at times.

It is her turning from a cunning and scheming super genius into this. A tool. The author went to great lengths to fully establish her in a certain way and now, after 35+ chapters, is running out of steam heavily so they resort to this dogshit NTR-rape-bait shock value stuff.
The tone has shifted fully since they arrived at the beach house and even if this is some comedy "it was medicine and he just wanted to help her love life TROLOLOL!" the series has then become something entirely else, completely shitting on what I typed in the first paragraph. Lame.

Chapter 38 isn’t out yet? I only see chapter 37..? Either way, the chapter was a let down from the previous one, it was just another filler to add a scar or “deepen” his jealousy for someone he agreed isn’t his girlfriend in the literal chapter.
