| We find out from the Doctor using the Supercomputer that the creatu4re is part of an eco system that mines the planet scouring for energy to absorb and store within itself. Instead of a monster or living organism its seen more as an artificial machine with its purpose to store all the energy. (I take that back, the results show that it is a living thing, a plant that is affected by photosynthesis mentioned later in the episode) The Black Star team and researchers speculate that the super powers were granted by the creature's electromagnetic waves as soon as the Hope reached its atmosphere and the reason why a select few of the inhabitants of Hope were affected by the waves and gained super powers was to become the prey of the creature? Very hard to decipher and understand what is being said between the chars so this is the best interpretation I could come up with based on what they said this episode. We find out that Jewelry is actually a runaway fraud rugby player who was jailed for match fixing and fraud totalling 7B Yuan... I thought he was suspicious but he deceived the Black Star navigation team to get on Hope and got exposed for it by the captain. They have no choice but to work together and take down the creature on the condition the mission is a success Jewelry will be kept alive... Decent episode 3/5 but yet again the focus has just been on the planet's energy and the creature with no focus on the main theme and overarching story to find Ark I ship. |
