I haven't read a single chapter of Naruto ever
I've watched episode 1 of it and that's it
I was spoiled of all major things that happen
If I ever wanted to, can I start with Boruto? Will I understand it??

Nearly the entirety of the story is built on the final Arc of Naruto.
So no, you wouldn't understand much, but i guess it'll depends on what "major things" you were spoiled on.

Naruto is a better start and a better manga than Boruto, even if you feel like many major details were spoiled for you, it’s still worth checking out.

No amd why would you want to start with Boruto? Yes Boruto gets way to much hate, bit Naruto is still miles better than Boruto. I also got spoiled on a bunch of important moments, but it was still a good read. So read/watch Naruto first.

Nah the boruto manga is good and gets even better in the time skip. The anime really downplays the manga because of all the filler (god there’s a ton) and the horrid pacing as the episodes release on a weekly basis for a monthly manga. Regardless… Naruto is far superior to Boruto in pretty much every way.

I'm talking about the story as a whole.

the anime is utter dogshit and the manga is mediocre at best considering the fact that they power-crept so many well-written characters like Naruto himself and Sasuke, tainting the legacy that the whole franchise had left behind.

I really started hating the series when they unjustly made literally the strongest characters in the series look like fucking toddlers to be defeated so easily. it really makes you feel that they're just trying to make the story look more dramatic when it only makes the story feel empty and pretentious

you might argue that it's kishimoto himself who's supervising the production of boruto and that the legacy is being passed on.

no the fuck it's not. the only thing it's doing is destroying the original legacy

that's the best way I can explain my point to you

all in all, this is the reason why I think you should completely forget that boruto exists and just enjoy the Naruto franchise untainted by a sequel anime that shouldn't have existed in the first place

hope no one is triggered by any of this

So you weren't spoiled on Boruto being a tumorous growth on the Naruto franchise?
