Keiichirou Ooichi (5-toubun no Hanayome) is handling the series composition, and Shouko Takimoto (Ore wo Suki nano wa Omae dake ka yo) is designing the characters. The anime adapts Kou Nigatsu's girls love comedy light novel, which began publishing under ASCII Media Works's Dengeki Bunko imprint in February 2020, featuring illustrations by Mizore Saba (Yumemiru Danshi wa Genjitsushugisha). Kadokawa shipped the ninth volume in December 2023. Umemi Makimoto serialized a manga adaptation in Dengeki Maoh from March 2020 to July 2021.
