I don’t like the pedo stuff either but the Monogatari Series is littered with that throughout so if you can’t avoid it, I would recommend that you’d skip this series in my opinion.

Nise is probably the hardest to watch part of the series(for me at least), but it sets up like half of the characters that have the best moments in the entire series. You can’t skip it or you’ll miss out on a ton. Just stick it through, you’ll end up appreciating what it does by the end of the series when you see everything that it sets up.

Nisemonogatri is definitely better than that Neko black , tshuki Phoenix was a very good arc, with the best opening of this franchise, just skip any sus scenes and still watch, just the toothbrush scene that branded this stuff pedophilic cause it's not that different from bake

You could probably skip it for now as Neko Kuro is a chronological prequel to Bake, but you’ll still have to watch Nise before 2nd Season

If you want to avoid all the extreme pedo shit like I did just watch Bake and the Kizu movies. Still both have some weird shit but the kizu movies have some great moments and really nice animation, especially during the final fight.

I would have enjoyed this series a lot as a teen but now that I'm not a child it's honestly just hard to stomach. Bake and Kizu were tolerable amounts of anime sexual weirdness. Nise is where I drew the line. The toothbrushing was funny but everything else was just gross to me and I just couldn't go on from there. From what I remember pretty much every episode of Nise was fucking weird.

I tried going on to (Tsuki I think?) but it was the same. I wanted to get up to owari considering its ratings but I just couldn't.

No lol. There’s not even really pedo stuff he’s kinda just messing around and being dramatic which is 99% of this series. Also you need to experience the story to understand some characters better. Nise is not skippable.

I would say, if the content of the show makes you uncomfortable, you should probably drop it entirely. nothing wrong with finding the stuff uncomfortable but I think that all seasons are crucial to the over all story.

nah it introduces a lot of characters, most of which are really good like kaiki or yotsugi and are also important to the plot going forward. nisemonogatari has the incest stuff and that one arc in second season was wack af with hachikuji i think it was in otorimonogatari. don't know what nisio isin was cooking with that. if you really can't stand it then don't watch monogatari but i would recommend staying with it because it's one of the greatest anime of all time.

Actually, it's Neko Black first, then bake, and then nise. So you can watch Neko Black first. but I don't suggest skip and highly recommend watch nise.
