Which block was better for dubbed anime back in the 90s and 2000s?

Toonami in the 90s and 2000s was influential into bringing anime to American viewers. Their 3 biggest hits are DBZ, Sailor Moon, and Gundam Wing. However, the dubs that Toonami were showing are hack-dubs. But then Adult Swim came along in August of 2001 and showed anime as well. Adult Swim’s biggest anime hits were Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and GITS:SAC. The dubs that were on Adult Swim were uncensored on TV for the first time in history. This made fans leave the Toonami block and joined the Adult Swim block as a result. So with that said, which block was better for dubbed anime back in the 90s and 2000s?

I'd say Toonami, solely for the fact that they are the reason that Dragon Ball Z, a lot of American kids' first anime blew up. It failed in syndication but got a second life on Toonami with the less censored FUNimation dub being greenlit after reruns of the Ocean dub were successful. I also liked how they tied all the shows together with those classic TOM bumpers to give it a whole cohesive feeling. Toonami exposed more kids to anime and had some of the most successful anime of all time so I would say Toonami

If we're strictly talking about dub quality, the Adult Swim lineup was better. But in terms of which was more influential to anime's popularity in the US, Toonami wins by far. Many people wouldn't have even had much interest in the series on Adult Swim if they hadn't been exposed to anime from Toonami first, myself included.

(Although maybe my perspective would be different if I had been older at the time; I'm of the generation that was too young to stay up for Adult Swim until years after it started, so Toonami was all we had for a while, lol.)
What have you done today to deserve your eyes?

There was still tons of censorship. For example, there was a sex scene in Cowboy Bebop that was censored. Also Kill la Kill has many scenes censored on Adult Swim, such as the bath scene, and Food Wars has been pretty heavily censored too. While it is less than other channels censor things, there is still quite a bit of censorship.
