early on this was pretty solid. kid with a dead mother, unknown father, injured grandfather who has to stepdown as the patriarch of the family. mc with poor cultivation, mystery bone thing, mystery dragon statues in some mystery "space". multiple cultivation sects seemingly vying for him due to his "space" ability, though mc tries to keep it a secret from everyone. plus the mystery doctor who cured mc when he had the fever. and that older guy who lived near the firestone mine and flew into the mine in a "spirit form" or something. all pretty compelling stuff on which to build.

but this blue fantasy world arc is terrible. nothing happens. they find a few monsters but can't kill them. they mainly just walk around and there's a lot of talking. we don't learn anything more about the mc. the mc doesn't feed his mystery bone. there's no treasure/pries being found. some "evil sect" breaks into the fantasy world trying to kill all of them. ho hum

stuff is happening, but it feels like nothing is happening. and there's no real purpose to anything right now
