The male and female MCs are basically dealing with the same issues from different perspectives. Both are killers, but at the same time, they do not want to be and their conscience bothers them about each kill they make. Both are figuring out how to deal with experiences in their Life that caused them to be more than just a stone cold merciless heartless mindless killer, which they had viewed as flaws in themselves, before meeting each other. Each experienced bias and prejudice, one from the rumors of them being a heartless assassin, the other because she is female and seen as weak. Through their interactions they learn to deal with their uncertainties, mixed feelings, and mental strife. They view each other as being stronger than themselves and learn from each other how to overcome their own experiences and confusion, which causes them to gain trust and respect for one another, wanting to protect one another. That is my take on the anime and why I enjoy it. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series and judge each based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.  |
| If is unique in many aspects. For example, we have married shounens protagonist. On top of that, he is devoted to his wife, which diminishes unnecessary shipping between two main leads. Also, most characters do not have plot armour. Whenever we see a named character with a rich design, some depth and personality, we subconsciously assume, that they're going to stay for a while. But not here. You might have some seemingly important character suddenly die. |

| Each anime/manga from the Dark trio is unique in their own way,but with Jigokuraku has (at least for me) one of the most "fun to read" stories in anime.It doesn't get boring overtime and it just keeps improving the story and the characters themselves |

| Pace I think. It's not doing anything too different from any other Shonen. But it sure gives like cool Moments, every Episode, without much worldbuilding or exposition. It just feels natural and super fast paced. |

| A lot of action + character development, good world building, animation, music etc. It's not great nor is it original, but it's a solid show. |

| It's entertaining but stupid as all hell. Characters and plot feel like they've been written by a 13 year old boy. Fights, art, and animation keep me entertained. |
