I am confused, according to mal. this is a drama but after watching all three episodes so far, I would rather describe this anime as wholesome and not dramatic. Will there be actual drama later on ?

There definitely is already elements of drama like how the one girl is using mc to get close to shiba boy. Even tho she is friendly and gets along with everybody and at times it seems like she likes being around mc it’s still given that she just wants to get close to dog boy first and foremost

There seems to be some stuff that our main boy is hiding about his childhood stardom. Seems like he might have some heavy emotions to unpack beneath his chill exterior. Just an idea, I don't know anything about source material.

Yes there is, although I don’t know how much of the manga will be adapted but there is drama, I believe there will be some in the second half of the anime or maybe from ep5. It does remain wholesome thanks our mc iwakura.
From my opinion the manga really picks up when they enter year 2 but I don’t think it will be adapted till that point.

This has drama. Plenty of it layered very well. It also has a lot of great humor (sometimes dry, which I really enjoy.). That aside..  its surprising how I never stopped leaning forward as I watched this show because of how engaging the characters and scenes were. With Episode 3 in particular as I neared its conclusion I found such warmth that my eyes watered a bit; this show is truly a breath of fresh air. All this is to say that this is a great show and I really can't praise it enough. Highly recommended for those that enjoy slice of life, coming of age stories with well paced humor, a bit of drama, a multitude of interesting characters, and beautiful animation. Ill add that the show is an easy watch while not being so on the nose or feeling forced. A 10/10 from me so far; Its amazing.

From what I've seen, it isn't drama focused but drama will seem to come with that red hair chick who is a fake friend to mc
