Some people might argue that this topic doesn't generate meaningful discussions, but it's still an interesting question to explore. Most people would likely agree that Spy x Family is primarily about a fake family becoming a real one. With this premise in mind, is it more important for Loid and Yor to become real parents for Anya, or is their growth as genuine spouses for each other more significant?

Them becoming a real couple because wouldn’t that somewhat include both of them finding out each other’s backstory which I would say is a greater part of the plot

Loid and Yor becoming real parents to Anya is just them getting their marriage registered in paper with the usual love and care to Anya.

On the other hand , Loid and Yor becoming real spouses means they came to knew about each other's past's , accepted it, fell in love with each other and then got married. Caring for Anya just comes along with their marriage as the relationships between them will be genuine.

So, second option seems way better.

both are important for story but honestly if they just became coparents and never truly fell in love it would be a lot better than falling in love and abandoning Anya, imagine how fucked up that would be? “Sorry kid we want a biological daughter, we’ll make sure the agency takes care of you I guess” blegh

Both are important, but I think Loid and Yor becoming real spouses. Even though Anya knows it’s a pretend family, they are still real parents to her. However Loid and Yor are not real spouses to each other. I saw someone else mention that them learning each other’s backgrounds will add more to the story which I agree with. I also think that them being a real couple will make them even better parents to Anya.

I feel like they are already real parents for Anya, at the very least Yor is. So I feel like they should become a real couple now.
