the emotions were captured so beautifully. Rei Takahashi nailed with Ai's cast, Yurie Igoma; on her debut role as Ruby, played the mommy complex yandere ish character of Ruby so well, and I can't unhear Rudeus and Puck when Aqua's child voice was played by Yumi Uchiyama. The music, the art.... Just so good!!

I cried for 10 minutes straight. That last line got me even more. Haven’t cried like this since Clannad. What an incredible first episode.

I didn't expect the show to become a shonen anime, with the main character asking to be trained for revenge. but nevertheless, it was a pretty good episode

Didn't come close to doing so but doesn't mean it sucked by any means either. Did make me feel slightly bitter about the past regarding what happened with Christina Grimmie nearly 7 years ago now (time flies) but that's about it.

I should preface this by saying I that I cry really easily at almost anything and everything, but:
Oh my godd, the manga absolutely destroyed me but this? In just one episode? Every little thing made me cry or at least tear up, and I could barely see through my tears during
I just had to watch it again, and even the second time around, it made me cry just as much. Rie Takahashi was just incredible as Ai, the performance she gave was just... so so good, and everything I imagined Ai to be when I first read the manga. She really, really sparkled... which made everything hurt even more. Actually, 'cry' is probably an understatement, I was sobbing my eyes out.

And Yurie Igoma as Ruby? She got me emotional in so many scenes that I didn't expect, especially with her rant
it was just phenomenal. And I can already tell Takeo Ootsuka is going to be a fantastic Aqua, his last line this episode was so great.

I honestly haven't wanted to just gush about an anime in so long. If they keep this up, they're going to absolutely emotionally destroy me and I'll love every minute of it. I'm so so happy to see this adaption do the manga justice. It was beautiful.

As far as I know, most of the events within Oshi no Ko are based on real incidents in the celeb world. I cant help but really admire Akasaka's writing style and the message he's trynna give from it.

Its like how Jas said, Ai's death was kind of similar to Christina Grimmie's Assassination. The latter was shot during a fan meet by an obsessed fan who later killed themselves. Ai's death was similar to this incident.

The first episode tore me up pretty bad, not to the point of crying, but I'm still pretty shocked.

I definitely love the anime so far though for damn sure.
Just an avid anime watcher of 18 years, not much else I could say about myself (that I don't want to reveal, of course, just ask if you wanna know more!)

Gotta say it was a chain of an unexpected turn of events, who would've expected that after the very idoly and shiny cover page floating around, the dark element is sure welcome...

Not to miss on the art and the theme song and gotta touch on to the moment when she dropped to the ground, the art there sent me feeling numb...

I cried even though I knew what would happen, didn't cry (was just in the "angry" step of grief) when I saw [that] in the manga.

But dude I almost bawled when the manager-woman asked if she could be their new mommy T_T

This is a cartoon site, you clown. Elitism in general is cringe enough already. Let people enjoy stuff.
