| It's too dark, the contrast is a pain in the eyes especially for the forums & profiles. I use dark mode for almost every website/app but I'll stick to light mode for now. Fingers crossed it improves , maybe I'll just give one of those custom scripts a try Kineta said: For the love of god, please make a toggle so that people not logged in can switch between themes. | @FlyYOUNG @Shrimp_Tail That's not a bug, it's a design oversight. They didn't integrate the dark theme into the ads on the site including the sponsored top banner which also goes down the page sides. The white boxes may be a bug or oversight though, i had made a thread reporting that and no one addressed it yet. I also appear to have a bug where dropdown boxes are the wrong colour looking at the pic in the OP. For me its grey with white text, barely legible. I will be reporting it later. |

| I think it should change colors without reloading. Very minor task but is pretty much in line with other sites with dark mode. PCs and phones can change to dark mode along with sunset time. Apps changes along them too, including web browsers. Websites changes with the browser. So MAL website changing automatically without reloading will be fantastic and in line with other sites. |
| Well thanks. Forcing Dark Mode on users who don't want it and don't want to login every single time they want to do a quick search. I just don't understand developers. |

In fact they made the home page a bit more dark recently but it's still uncomfortable with bright spots lol. Please try my dark mode extension Comfortable Dark Mode if you want an alternative, as I've addressed a lot of those issues with it: https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=2072574 As the name implies, the colors are much more comfortable to read with and I've also removed bloat from the site. Plus it darkens the Fantasy Anime League and Mal X Japan which MAL dark mode doesn't darken atm. And finally to make using the site easier to use and read, I added these features: Status colors added to Top Anime and Search pages Always see reviewer scores Reviews can be darkened Tool Tips clearer and clickable You can leave me a message in that thread I linked if you are using it and would like some kind of update or you need me to darken something I missed- the change will be sent automatically to the extension. Sorry for this late reply as well but I've been working on this extension and darkening CSS quite a bit since MAL dropped their own dark mode. |

is there no way to change anime list view to dark mode? it's all good and wonders except when i look in my currently watching / PTW list, it hurts my eyes
