| As someone who has only watched this anime and nothing else, is restart some kinda alternative universe (another cast), a flashback to what happened during the first games before this anime setting or a direct sequel aka S2? |

| Is this a spinoff, not sequel? Well, one season seemed conclusive and what we has was quite good. I clearly remember it heving one of the best ED of 2016. Having more Magical Girl Battle Royale would be fun. |

And yeah, restart is more similar to what the series is compared to season 1 so I think giving it a try would be good. If you don’t like this, or limited if they ever adapt that then you probably won’t like the series. It has been fixed, sorry for the mixed up! |
