Am I the only one that finds the character designs really bad. They literally look like baby's. What do you guys think.

I think the series get going when Cain is 12. so that why plus the anime as a very similar artstyle to manga and younger characters have a chibi liok to them and he and the main girls are young

I'm gonna be honest about it the anime characters are very childish compare to manga. The manga is great and very similar to BY THE GRACE OF GODS.

It is generic but executed very well imo let's see how the anime is.

I'm not sure i'd use the term trash for his harem but it is a harem, it's a little unique in that he himself doesn't necessarily want one (he's not really against it per se, but tends to get dragged into them by the women,
, but keeps getting dragged into it as he's extremely powerful both politically and in personal ability, but this also means he attracts women with more political power than him which is good politically for the kingdom.

The story is average but it's good enough for the guilty pleasure. Not saying that I hate the series but it's just how I see it objectively.

if the anime follows the manga next episode will be about him and his adventurer instructors (that his father hired to prepare him for life as an adventurer) that with cover ages 5-8. then three episode will start with a two year timeskip that when the story gets going (off on his age on original post) age 12 is when he can enrolled in the royal academy and sign up as an adventurer. that happen later around episode 7-8 as it seem 2 episodes are going to cover 1 manga volume
