Probably a mix of both, since Yoko Taro did say that the anime is gonna have a different content than the game because they couldn't adapt some of it to a watchable format. |

| MONACA will be responsible for the music and Keiichi Okabe is the Representative Director of MONACA who also made the music for the game so I personally think that it doesn't matter if the music will be the same with the game with new additions or the same songs but altered or completely new . While I don't have any proof I am still 100% sure that they are aware how well received the soundtrack of the game was so I think that they will have same quality for the soundtrack of the anime too. And I want to believe that Okabe has also worked on the project because there is literally no reason for him not to get involved Ignore what I said and watch this livestream アニメ『NieR:Automata Ver1.1a』最新情報発表特番（12/28 20時開始） and specifically if you go to 6:33 and after , your question will be answered |
