We got a continuation of InuYasha in form of YashaHime, now the remake of Urusei Yatsura is airing. Do you think we will see a return of Ranma as an anime in the near future? And what are your wishes for a potential new series? I would ofc love to see it fully animated. I never finished the old series completely, but currently reading the manga and a full adaptation would be awesome. I also hope that they won't censor too much, since it is part of it's original flair.

I think it depends on how well Urusei Yatsura performs, personally I would love to see a ranma 1/2 re-adaption. I have already read the manga and watched the 90s adaptation

I think it'd be neat if it got an actual ending, even if that means a potential remake would have to skip a lot of source material just to keep things in line with the planned episode count of Urusei Yatsura. I wasn't particularly a fan of the non-ending that the original adaptation of Ranma ½ got.

I'd love it if they change the character designs if this gets a reboot, tbh, most old series like this who use the same character designs needs to. That's just my opinion anyway.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Yeah I would also love a re-adaptation of Ranma, though in the best world I would want them to readapt literally every episode, as I enjoyed every single one.

That's unrealistic, but if they make it shorter that's fine. Urusei Yatsura absolutley captured the spirit of Rumiko's writing style, so I have faith a readaptation of Ranma would be amazing.

Remakes are pretty popular. I wouldn’t be interested in watching a censored and “woke” version of this.

If it’s for it to follow the story faithfully then I’d be pretty interested

I don’t think Ranma ½ would ever get readapted, and if it would, Ranma would probably be more accepting of his condition and would be completely gender fluid. The unfortunate truth is that even though that would (hopefully) be more accepted amongst people, it wouldn’t do justice to the source material. Although I don’t think the ending of the original anime’s run did justice either, the ending was so unsatisfying. I personally would like them to do what I stared previously with Ranma’s character and make him motivated to cure his father and the other victims that turn into animals rather than himself, I would like it if overtime he starts to appreciate his condition rather than try to cure it. But if it were readapted it would be extremely divisive amongst the fanbase, so it’s not the best idea to do so.
