| Sadly I don't think it will ever happen, but I really got invested in this anime, but that dumbass hack Anno had to ruin it by throwing a hissy fit and leaving, leaving 1/3 episodes basically unfinished nonsense, AFTER that massive cliffhanger. This has potential to become a beloved anime, and I would love to see it get the adaptation made by people who respect it |

Without Anno or Gainax there is no one in the industry that could remake this anime even a 10th as good. |
| Yes, I agree. And I disagree with people saying it wouldn't be good without Anno. He might have put his own spin on it, but why couldn't a different director do the same? The manga is great and has so much to offer. |
