The eyes, menacing vibe, and suspense/cliffhanger made it way too obvious but that was also the point, to show that he changed so much in the timeskip and later on explain why

i dont really remember but when he first was introduced as and injured war veteran, when he first met falco, i didnt pay much attention to it, but when they showed his face, it was pretty obvious lol. no appearence change can hide this gaze, plus who else could it be

Kruger had Eren's memories, who would inherit his power in two generations. Some guess that Falco displayed the same “future memories” in Season 4 Episode 1. What is this? All of this makes it very fitting and symbolic that Eren, while undercover, is referring to himself as Kruger.

For some reason I had no idea it was him, which was very weird since I usually recognize voice actors in different animes instantly, so when Reiner said „Eren” at the end of episode 4 it was a huge surprise (and I actually liked it better that way).
I guess the reason why I didn’t realize it was him earlier is season 4 introducing a lot of new characters, so I thought it was just another new character getting some screen time. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well Kruger’s name is Eren. Of course he’s Eren. That’s his first name.

In terms of Eren Jeager when he was undercover in Marley and was using Kruger as an alias. I’m pretty sure you were meant to know that was Eren from the get-go. I’m surprised there was anyone who didn’t know that.

Honestly the first time I watched this episode was in dub, so immediately I knew it was Bryce Papenbrook’s voice (Eren’s VA) which gave it away.

In the manga it was pretty well-hidden for the most part, and Isayama's character design is confusing half the time so that helped. But it was impossible to miss in the anime, Yuuki Kaji's voice is too distinctive.

well actually i didint really get this i dont think they look alike and kruger's story was diffirent he remember eren's memories but i think it is because power of Attack titan he can see future it has been a long time i dont remember many things lmo
