Fairy tail animation quality (Not a hate post)

I've almost finished all the long running shonen animes and recently finished gintama. Now I want to watch fairy tail but before starting it i want to know is the animation quality is as good as bleach, hunter x hunter and gintama or it's like the first 100 episodes of black clover, i mean is there any sakuga for the important battles?

none there is barely any sakuga on this anime adaptation but still good enough watch just for the abundance of waifus and husbandos

Despite it being battle shounen, it has mid at best animation.

The animation in a lot of fighting scenes is just slideshows, sometimes it feels like you're watching a powerpoint instead of animation.

Bleach has some of the best animated fights in that same year considering you are a bleach fan you know what am i telling.

I don’t want to put more water on the fire but the story writing is kinda of doodoo as well. Nice soundtrack though from what i remember

You really don't watch FT for the animation past a certain point. The animation quality starts off mediocre, and by the 2014 instalment, it takes the heaviest hit and just keeps declining from there. By the final season it's just a whole ass PowerPoint presentation no cap.

watch it, if u have seen all the other shonen, do it too. the animation quality is passable imo, but the music is good for fairy tail, the openings, endings and OSTs are great. I like the chracters as well, although my great frustration with the show comes where it doesn't do a lot with those characters. even it's main character, I felt like he wasn't done justice throughout the whole series. like... in a shonen battle series the main thing that keeps viewers engaged is the growth of the main character we see in their everyday life. like, in Naruto, we see that he isn't liked by anyone in the start but as the series we see him get accepted more and respected more with each arc. in one piece, we see luffy become more infamous throughout the world by his antics with each passing arc. but in fairy tail, it gets kinda lost, but that's my personal problem with it, idk if anyone else cares. I don't want to give spoilers for arcs to u, so I'm just giving general example of it. we see that natsu is already an accepted member of fairy tail and they all love each other and all that, and we get some great characters in the guild that are fun to watch and root for (especially the ones who aren't the strongest in the guild). so characters are good, music is good, some moments can be really intense and good, it has the potential to be a great shonen but is only good enough. but yeah, it's worth a watch, also, fairy tail girls are always drawn so hot and cute, so another plus point xD

Overall disappointing fights. Spurts of good animation here and there but not even in the important moments. Still one of my favorite anime because of the art style, soundtrack, characters, and comedy.

Their animations are pretty good. I’d say one of a kind. Their facial expressions and little details, the sound effects that go along with them. Aside from the clock arc and the orgin of FT arc, the show is def worth watching. Top 5 for me.

The animation was pretty good but during the 2014 Fairy Tail and final season the animation style changed so yeah

Please read mamaYuYu, its amazing. Also MAPPA employees havent seen their families since 2021 lmao

I’d say if you want to watch it, don’t watch it for the animation but rather the story itself and the characters… It’s a nice show, and has some amazing arcs and amazing story lines and backstories…
So give it a try

yeah but fairy tail was animated by a-1 which is popular for short anime so it's only logical that fairy tail won't have amazing animation but tbh it ain't even that bad there are some really well animated fights and movies have top tier animation

It was quite good for me, as my second long run anime(first being naruto ofc). I had dropped this somewhere in between, cause i wasn't getting any hype out of it. Then after a year or so, i resumed, and really got into it and liked it overall.

Honestly, One Piece animation quality blows Fairy Tails out of the water. It is a complete waste of time to continue with this fiction.
