| Juuji says Yuuki hardly speaks his mind, even though he is exceptionally open all the time, even on topics that would logically be dangerously embarrassing in his peer group. There is often a disconnect between what the manga shows us and what it wants to tell us. I think the story overall wants to be very happy and fluffy in tone but accidentally becomes without impact because of this. Nothing really sticks to these characters. There is little sense of drama to it so far, but I want at least a little heartthrob from a romance, even a "wholesome" one. |
