AnimeHype sent a tweet yesterday saying that Solo leveling will get adapted by the studio A1-Pictures, the studio who animated sao, 86 and other famous works. The official announcement will come in July. I would have liked it to be adapted by ufotable who did a very good job in the handling of Emiya Shirou's daggers in Fate/stay night, since Jin-Woo is also a dagger user that could have been cool. I think that even if fantasy is not the domain of Wit Studio they could still have done something interesting since they are very good at fighting scenes and have already animated a main dagger like Thorfinn. Mappa also would have animated it as it should But I still have a bit of hope for the anime, A1-Pictures remains a competent studio which animated big titles. The drawings of season 2 of 86 recently released were well worked and there were sometimes very good moments in sao. If they doesn't rush it, dont make cgi worthy of a ps3 game and takes the time to animate the same way the manhwa is then it can be good. What are your thoughts about it ? |

They need to do more powerful scenes tho |

I tried to do a search on this but couldn't find anything, I just saw that the official website of Solo leveling and Sao was created by the same company (Source: https://www.animesenpai.net/solo-leveling-anime-website-has-been-registered-by-same-studio-as-sword-art-online/) If so, that's cool because we can see by watching the trailer for sao progressive the movie that they worked on it well and I can't wait to watch it |

Oh, a website has been registered now? This... this might all come together... wow. Would have never imagined. Looking forward. Ufotable would have been the best choice omg, what a missed opportunity, idek tho. A-1 seem to be doing well for themselves tho, so it isn't an entirely missed opporunity. |

There have been Crunchyroll Originals which took on Tower of God, God of High School, and Noblesse. All of which go down the ladder of quality as you head on from earliest to latest. There are probably others but that is the best example I know of. It doesn't sound like an entirely good thing that Crunchyroll is a producer, but idk the specifics on the things that go on behind the scenes. |

As much as many people wanted Ufotable to animate it, I for once never thought that it would work. I actually thought that Mappa would get a hold of this series because recently they are grabbing up all the famous manga projects. A1 still looks like a good choice though. Sword art online had good animation and it has good reputation as well. Plus the fanbase is pretty big for Solo Leveling so chances for them to mess it up are very low. |

I think this will decide the fate of further manhwa/webtoon adaptions. If this does well we will be seeing more in the near future but if the biggest one flops I don't think big studios will be going near them anytime soon |

It's not a masterpiece by any means but as far as power fantasy is concerned this is pretty much the best out there. The genre is flawed but at least this doesn't have harem BS or unnecessary side characters forced into the action. Also many stories have the author's country or historically allied countries as the "good guys" and they shit on countries that have historical beef with. For manga/anime it usually goes: Japanese person is always the strongest, Germans are good guys, US bad guys. Very few series are actually critical of their origin countries especially in Asia. |

PEOPLE were literally shitting on the G.A.T.E series for psudo nationalism for FUCKING MONTHS when it came out, and it wasn't even scratching the surface compared to dogshit leveling, this level of hypocrisy is insane, same with the time when i forgot the name of the anime but it was like a hanafuda card playing anime where people downvoted it en mass for some stupid author political situation lmao. think it was chifayu something something can't remember, i think it was season 3. what fucking hypocrisy that kpop koreaboos to get triggered endlessly and review bomb hundreds of random manga for stupid shit like accusing nationalism while dogshit like this gets a pass, this is literally facist nationalist propaganda on koreas part, and above all the writing is dogshit. |

I don't even dislike manhwa, im just pissed that a garbage like this some how ends up representing most korean media, when this is SAO tier of garbage |

All fake news and speculations. What happened is that a domain name called "sololeveling-anime.net" has been bought on a japanese registrar (the market leader of domain name and web hosting in Japan). Anyone can do it for 1 yen, so it might be someone that is trying to get the domain first before reselling it at a higher value if any anime ever came to be. So of course it might be the premise of a SL anime adaptation, but we basically know nothing more than before, the chances of it happening are still the exact same. People get on fire for nothing these days... Edit: also the website is hosted on an amazon couldfront server near whashington, if any of that matters. |

Yes, the site has been registered by the same compagny who is also responsible for Sword Art Online anime website, I will let you read this: https://www.animesenpai.net/solo-leveling-anime-website-has-been-registered-by-same-studio-as-sword-art-online/ + the supposed studio that will animate Solo leveling is A1-Picture who also animated SAO (yes yes you will say it's different but it's still some weird coincidence) It's also possible that it will not happen and we got screwed but AnimeHype is not an account that leaks fake news, and if it was wrong they would have told them and they would have deleted the tweet, but the tweet is still here. Saying Aniplex x Crunchyroll + A1-Pictures I don't see why it seems random I will also let you read the tweet if you want https://twitter.com/_AnimeHype/status/1533590402531741696 I don't see people saying that it's fake, now you can believe it or not it's up to you |

What I mean is that this company (or "studio" as they wrongly mention in their article) called "GMO Internet" is not related to anime at all. It is a web registrar, which is a company that sells domain names (and it is the market leader in Japan in that domain) the fact that its name is under the "owner" tag when you look at the whois of the domain name is because the owner of the domain name bought the privacy service, redirecting any request to the registrar so their IRL name and mail address are not public. To be honest nothing says that this news is wrong, all I wanted to tell is that the thought process isn't quite right. |
