The first season is dope and brutal af and then the second season is super toned down and lame..that’s at least why I was disappointed..and as was previously pointed out the manga is much better

I love🔥 this series, even though I 100% criticised before actually just trying to watch it with an open minded perspective.Has a lot of plot twists and politics similar to Attack on titan( which I also used criticise when the first season was released)😹
I’m still reading the manga and damn it’s quite knowledgeable in terms of biology.

Why did they stop animating it? It just abruptly stopped without even a warning or any news at all😭

y'all are really reaching here. from what I've seen in the anime (i did complete season 1, couldn't bear to bring myself to watch season 2) this adaptation falls prey to countless gimmicky plot devices. we spend half of entire episodes explaining who a character we just murdered was as if a sappy montage for someone whose name we didn't even know will provide an emotional reaction and attachment to the "trauma" of their loss. i am curious to know what the manga may accomplish in the terms of explanation for some of the biological concepts presented in the series via the characters powers, the evolution of roaches on Mars etc. but overall it kinda ended up with a B-list "silver hawks" feel and i couldn't be bothered to care. biggest point of all? THE INCREDIBLY THINLY VEILED/BLATANTLY RAMPANT RACISM!?!? Like hello? the cockroaches are quite literally caricaturized depictions of people of African descent. these designs would match blackface style seen through the 1800s-1900s that would be deemed unacceptable by any standards today. yet after sifting through superficial moments of action to string together an incredibly poorly-held-together plot that couldn't even begin to make me feel emotionally invested, here we are discussing why more people didnt like this series?

for me it's less like attack on titan and it seems the absolute spitting image(idk which came first tho) of killing bites
