One of the best Dubs?

Personally I have loved the Dub for this show. Ian Sinclair as the narrator for this show is absolutely hilarious. He puts so much personality into it and I feel it makes the show that much better.
What do you think? Do you like the Sub better? Have you heard the Dub before?

The dub for real makes this show that much better lmao. This and death note and fmab are the only anime I’ve seen with better dub

This is going to be an awkward hot take but Kaguya-sama, imo, is one of those few animes where dub is a bit better than sub.

The VAs did a fantastic job with their characters, especially in S2. Ishigami sounds more of a buttmonkey in English than in Japanese and it fits him a little more.

I still love the sub but the dub takes the cake.

English dub is overrated people give too much credit to that average english dub and I can never take those type of people seriously who think english dub is better than sub in kaguya sama love is war.

I watch sub for Kaguya's "Okawaikoto" and Chika's cute voice(judge me all you want. idc).
Also because I'm used to listening to japanese and reading the subs while watching. Sometimes I do some other stuff and dont read the subs, and still understand what they are talking. Man, I guess I need to go get my head checked. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Cowboy Bebop too. I also think Steins Gate’s dub is really good and is atleast on par with the Japanese.

Subbed is way better than the dub. The dub is ok but overall the subbed is superior in every way including the narrator. Every time when kaguya says o kawai koto or the narrator saying uso de aru just gets to me.

Dub is amazing for this show. It’s impossible to get many people to agree with dub viewers on MAL, the feeding ground for weebs, so take that as you will. Trust me, despite the amount of people disagreeing in this forum, there are many people out there who agree the dub is fantastic. The voice actors all do a great job.

may i add dbz? Coz if u watch it in subbed then your ears will shortly begin to bleed from excessive exposure to loud male noises. Also, i’m yet to see a better dub (minus dbz) than subbed ngl. For me subbed feels more natural than any dub can ever be.

I like them both but, though I like the sub just a little better. I will say, the dub doesn't try to be like the sub and I think that's a big problem with dubs in general. The dub for this show carves out its own identity while still retaining the essence of the sub. Like the narrator in the dub is leagues above the one in the sub. The narrator is funny and charismatic, while still having that narrator feel. Kaguya in the sub is leagues above the dub cause Koga Aoi (I think that's the VAs name) puts in so much work to bring kaguya to life. Her emotes, the lighting fast delivery, crystal clear delivery, and really everything she does is of a high caliber.

Tl;Dr
they're both great, they both offer something different, and dub or sub it's still a great show. I just like the sub a little more.

The subs better but it's a good dub, I don't watch dub anymore but this is one of the first anime I watched so I watched it dubbed, and I remember enjoying it a lot dubbed

Both. Both is good.

But fr, can’t go wrong with either/or. Both are great in their own way. Sub narrator is already incredibly iconic by himself and dub narrator does a damn good job at being hilarious and iconic in his own way haha. Each character has his/her own nuances that build the show in an incredible way. It’s really up to preference on this one.

Konosuba and Highschool DXD have dubs that are superior to the sub imo especially Highschool DXD. in general it seems like comedy’s seem to have the best likelihood of having good dubs

doesn't matter the anime in question. people who like subs typically only like subs. (unfortunately going as far as putting others opinions down which I hate no matter what you like). and typically people who like dub will only watch dub. I honestly feel the people who claim they like both and have can rattle off as many dubs they like as subs are either full of it or are the 1%.
