The animation is what it needs to be for gintama. The fight scenes are still smooth imo and for the rest who tf cares it’s all comedic moments. It’s definitely still watchable and didn’t seem slow to me at all (no comparison between this and 7ds lol)

Well idk about you, but average animation = mind blowing animation. When it comes to a anime, animation is the one I don’t think about at all. As long as they’re moving, it doesn’t matter to me, so no I think the anime has great animation imo.

It was a downgrade compared to the previous season but it's definitely not slideshow. The seasons that came after look way worse imo.

What in the world is going on…? I don’t get why people can argue respectfully on the interwebnet online.

I’ve noticed the downgrade in animation (except some of the fights), but it’s average animation.

Bad is that one vampire anime with ~3 score, or that Ex-Arm fart show of 2.87 iirc. Mars of Destruction too.

I think the animation isn't as bad as you said, the animation still looks pretty good if you don't compare it to other anime that do have animation standards made by big studios like mappa or ufotable. i really like the animation of gintoki vs jirochou and gintoki vs housen , gintoki vs takasugi is also well adapted. even in the last movie I couldn't believe this was an animation from gintama. I think how good or bad the animation is depends on how you look at it
