The Sun family, having gone bankrupt, have reverted back to the stone age - lol at Sun Rong's Tarzan entrance. The Tang's will be taking over the Flower Fruit Water Curtain Group and SR will be forcing herself into a bloodborne contract with Tang Birdie in order to save her family from complete ruins (which seems to be the equivalent of a marriage or engagement), but not if Wang Ling has anything to say about it.

WL locates and removes the starworm that has been sucking at Mt. Flower Fruit's spiritual vein and depleting all of its spiritual energy. As a result, the FFWCG's stock rebounds on the stock market and, found guilty of colluding with demons, the Tang's assets are frozen.

Wang Ling did a great job. He became more assertive to help Sun Rong's family problems.
With the help of their friends, they successfully (mostly due to Ling's strong but currently sealed power) removed that sucking bug. A bit worried there that there would be no conclusion in this episode. Btw, a "spiritual energy" = "water" is rather interesting.

Just seeing Wang, Ling taking Sun, Rong by the hand like he was stopping a wedding (but more like an engagement) ceremony and eloping with the bride is kind of decent but the BGM really needs some fixing there to make the emphasis more wonderful.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Sun Family went bankrupt but Brother Wang managed to save them. The little fight scenes were pretty good.

Man, Sun Rong kinda sucks now. I mean Wang Ling retained his feelings for her but her having reverted back kills any chance of decent romance. This bloodbourne pact thing this episode and how little she fought against the idea pissed me off. And referring to him as “brother” doesn’t help either. Oh well…

Yup....extremely dissapointed at how she just went with the flow....-100 character development

Yeah I'm liking this Sun Rong less than last season but he'll she did get all her memories sealed or taken. So I'm ok with how this went until the end.
I wanted the parents to come back and see how what they were doing was wrong or how selfish they were being or show Sun Rong saying something like never again will she do that since she has wang ling.

Just idk kinda left something to be desired and could have had more development.

This episode pissed me off, between Sun's parents trying to sell her off,  her deciding to sacrifice herself, getting upset with Wang for offering to help; and then turning her back on him and walking away. The fact that they don't get called out on any of that is fucking stupid, with decision making like this it's easy to see how they made their company so vulnerable.

I agree. If Sun Rong, from the start of the series until here, had any character development from the spoiled rich girl to a more decent fmc, this episode took many steps back and reverted her to a cliché maid in distress who can fight for herself.
Everything else was funny and cool in the action scenes(as always).
The scene where Sun and MC are talking at the water fall is really beautiful :D

I agree. Very true.

Typical rich/chinese development. From the very beginning, Sun Rong has been targeted all because she is a descendant of Sun Wukong, that's it. The whole marrying off your child and all that is just another checkbox. It's been so ingrained and masked as pride that she ends up defending what she doesn't want herself for the sake of family who treat her as a pawn. I can understand her reasons since she knows it affects thousands of employees, more than just the livelihood of her parents or herself though, so I don't really blame her. Her character seems to be one who is always sympathetic to the people around her, whether it's our MC or Xiaoyu, so you could say it's in line with her character.

The parents, well if you didn't know they were trash until now, you must've not been paying any attention. It was clear from what little we saw already that they treat their daughter as a pawn, as is typical of wealthy/asian parents.

Our MC seems 10x more restrained this season compared to last season tbh. Last season he'd just blow things up and then pin it on the school director guy. It's one of the downsides of having so many "comedic" episodes too. The "bad guys" temporarily get knocked out for laughs, but they never get taken out because the show never treats it seriously. Definitely starting to get old...I really hope this is the last we see of Tang (I hate that asshat Tang kid more than anyone else in the series), but I doubt it given how this show treats their villains like team rocket.
