Everyday on social media, there’s a lot of uproar regarding My Hero Academia and Fire Force eliciting reactions among people that have never seen super power like anime before.

I wanted to know on MAL on what your thoughts on anime like in question? You like it so far, or it’s just “meh” to you?

Looks like I haven't seen that many anime tagged as Super Power on here.
They all seem to be in the shounen demographic, which is another tag on here that I haven't watched much of.

I guess I have no real opinions on this one.

I avoid action anime as much as possible, most are boring and uninteresting.

I avoid twitter as much as possible
Its either full of Edgelords or wannabe Elitists trashing others or just Casuals Overhyping their garbage and both of these groups consist mostly people belonging to 14-16 year old age group

Fire Force? I genuinely haven’t heard many people talking about that show, but to answer your question I haven’t gotten tired of them since I’ve always been a fan of heros

I don't really mind about superpower anime. They can produce them however many they want to. I think it's one's own job to balance out your option in watching. I don't watch seasonal anime much but for someone that keeps up with them, let's say for example around 50 seasonal animes that came out recently are all about superpowers, surely they will get worn out from all of them. So if you actually want to watch them, but do feel tired, then balance your order however you feel like it.

Well though I do understand that probably those that always got themselves keep up-to-date might be newbies and don't know where to find the source to seek for more anime.

- NOT your usual shounen anime
- Pure comedy? DEAD WRONG
- Treat Gintama as SoL/weekly sitcom especially earlier seasons
- Ep 1 & 2 are for manga readers
- BIG patience for its 'slow' start

I used to love them, but now mostly avoid them unless I'm in the mood for one. There are genres I like more, and I've watched enough of them to know that they usually disappoint me eventually. They're usually formulaic and predictable, filled with boring filler.

It's kinda boring unless the author's creative, and not just in terms of power sets, but how the fight goes. like, Jojo is fun because it gets absolutely buckwild in terms of how fights happen.

Also if there's too much fighting, and it's too drawn out it can get really boring, the action becoming not so special.

also also the plots tend to get really messy. Which is a problem endemic to the American superhero comics from which they take a lot of original inspiration, too.

Not really, as long as the series is overall fun and gripping then I don't mind.

MHA was fine, but I had to drop it after the third consecutive bad arc in a row (middle of s4). I didn't watch Fire Force and I'm not really interested.

Generally speaking, I'm all for super power anime that are extravagant enough like the recent Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi, but not as much for the average ones.
