Not sure I understand the message here. Something about a person's wounds building up over time? Meditation to heal one's pain? I don't mind minimalist works, but this one didn't resonate with me.

This a dark twist on the whole, "I have butterflies in my stomach."

I'm joking as this is not what this means but that's what came to mind.

Even pretty things like butterflies represent probably no matter how much happiness or good things you try to mask over in your life, that deep down depression and twisted evil inside of you is unseen to others. You still feel like the more you try to be happy or have good and pretty things, it slowly cuts you down and burrows deeper and deeper as if there's many versions of yourself which also got cut up a lot.

Your brain and soul is a very complex thing and people don't realize how depressed and dark it can be for someone from within.

This was disturbing. The opening wounds made me feel very uncomfortable. I suppose it's a metaphor, but it was hard to watch.
I want to sleep...

Despite the monochrome presentation and ambient music I didn't think the message was necessarily dark. I understood the title Deep in Reflection to mean any kind of thinking, not just dwelling on your wounds. The visual metaphor was just reflection upon reflection, butterflies going from one layer to another until one cannot tell where the thinking began and what is the original thought that began the process. In that sense I believe the pieces explores the nature of thinking in general, although it could be about depression, anxiety or other negative states in particular.

The premise was interesting, but it would have been better without so much repetition. Half the length would have sufficed unless the purpose is really to make the viewer excessively dwell on how excessively we might dwell on things.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
