The animation looks ok. Is it just me, or the characters have some lightning problems, I mean, it lacks shadows?

Yeah. The shading is pretty off. I do like the character designs and action however.

I'm brave enough to be in the minority here. I enjoyed the Bright movie so I'm interested in the anime. I like Shadowrun and there really isnt much content that fits that criteria. I'm looking forward to this even if it isn't the best.

Nah, you are not in the minority. The movie got 83% rating (Rotten Tomatoes' audience score,not that of critic) and 6.2/10 in IMDb. I personally enjoy it. It's just critics who hate the movie.

You're right. A lot of people do enjoy it and I'm glad for that. I just meant in most discussions it's mostly dismissed as a silly Will Smith movie. No one really takes it seriously as a decent scifi experience.

I admit it has its flaws but overall I enjoy it as a somewhat unique idea and rather enjoyable.

Luckily those of us who like strange things and "different" movies tend to really like it. But I've encountered a lot of people who sleep on it too much in my opinion.

Looks terrific to me!
Oh the animation may be "different" but it looks like the story is solid. Writing is what makes or breaks any anime, or any show at all for that matter.
