I thought i knew what all the different anime types were, we have TV, movies, OVAs, specials, and ONAs... what's an ONA?

I initially thought ONAs were anime shorrts (like 5 min episodes), but i've come across ONAs with episodes 15 to 20 mins long

So what is an ONA? What differences does it have from TV and OVAs??

ONA (original net animation) are anime that are directly released onto the internet. While OVA's are specially made for release in home-video formats (like Dvd's and blu-ray's). ONA's also don't have the backing of a broadcast network, so they are not aired on TV.
