Outbreak Company: Moeru Shinryakusha Volume 16 Discussion
| Pretty meh volume for me, with some pretty messy SciFi elements and plot threads as a whole. The whole sequence too with Shinichi at the factory being able to just Kamehameha as well as just do any ability in the world along with Minori was... weird. I get how Theresa was involved with helping them get those special abilities for that restricted area and time, but everything about it felt way too corny for my liking. I'm taking this too seriously I'm aware but the way everything was handled felt off. It's like the series forgot that it was about otaku culture for a few volumes and just decided fuck it, let's just do all these powers right now to kick some ass to make up for it. The actual content in general was underwhelming, boring and forgettable beyond a couple of Myucel-Shinichi moments together and the cliffhanger of Matoba informing the group that it's time for Shinichi, Minori and Hikaru to leave this world before it's too late. Final two volumes left. |
