@_A_S_R_ @tensura1704 @Supernova_405 @OVERLORD696969 As stated on the official slimy website, https://www.ten-sura.com/anime/tensura/staffcast the copyright notice at the bottom says "Kodansha" (Manga publisher), it is obviously not "Micromagazine" (LN publisher) So there's no way for the anime to surpass the manga, or else it would literally get a copyright strike lol Considering the manga is monthly, we would only get 12 chapters a year, myb a lil more since the mangaka is occasionally published a double chapters a month Too bad, the slime anime is done, For now. Au Revoir~ lets meet again in 5+ years that said iF we're lucky we might get Trinity, more Tensura: Nikki or the Bunny one etc. slime has many spin-off manga adaptations after all |

Tensura anime follows both the light novel and the manga, the reason it cannot surpass the manga is that due to Kodansha being in the anime committee. The reason why slime's production quality is so high is that both the manga and light novel publishers are funding the anime or so I have read in the past discussions. If anime surpasses the manga then, Kodansha might not agree to fund the anime next time, because instead of buying the manga to read more of what happens they watch the anime or something like that. So, they wait for manga to reach a certain point then adapt them slowly so everyone is satisfied. Manga sales also goes up, LN sales also goes up. |
