| its been 24 hours since i got IP ban. Already tried contacting mods in IRC but no replies. please help |

| I messaged a moderator (Kunii) and told them I was asking for help on IRC, They replied right away, So maybe try that. But yeah it does suck, IRC feels like a neglected, forgotten ghost town. And you could barely even know how things work because it feels like it was made in the 80s |

| Moderators are always shown in the IRC channel because we use a special service that keeps our nicknames always online even if we're offline - so that users can leave us offline messages. If we don't reply then we're probably currently offline or not at the computer. Please also keep in mind that moderators live in different time zones, so some of them will be sleeping or be at work while you're there. If you only contact one person directly then this person might not be there. The best ways to contact the forum mods about a ban are: 1) Post in the channel that you need a forum mod to help with a ban. The mods who are online will see this and contact you. 2) Send a private message to the forum moderators (the users who have a & in front of their nickname). Please don't just say "hello" or "can you help me". We get tons of messages like this and they're not helpful because we don't know what the problem is. Please include your username and your IP address in the private message and say that you're banned. If the ban was an error then the mod can unban you even if you left IRC before they could reply. Please don't post your IP address in the public chat. Make sure it's the private chat with the forum moderator. In either case, please stay in the channel for a longer while. Lots of users leave after just a few minutes or just a few seconds and then we can't help them. If you come back please message the mods again because otherwise we won't know that you're back. Please also keep in mind that we only allow 1 account per user and using other accounts (new or old) during a ban counts as ban evasion. If your ban wasn't an error then ban evasion can make your ban longer. I'm locking this thread because we can't help with bans on the forum - please contact the forum mods by following the steps on the ban message and what I wrote here in this post. Thread locked. Update: The system has changed now, we don't use IRC anymore. If you feel the ban is an error then: Click the contact button on the ban page to create a ticket. Someone will get back to you about the ban. |
