after, all the comments on 1st epsiode, I started to think of skipping 1st episode.

I know that sounds stupid but I feel that if the episode will make me angry -bcs of bullying-, it better to skip it then.

what do you think?

The Anime are made for fun, but if you can't withstand 24 minutes of practical jokes, do not watch anime and that's it !.

I'm just interested to watch it since I heard that it got better, I'm just don't wanna watch the first ep, bcs I may have a very hard time or very uncomfortable watching it.

Yes, it is, at least as far as the anime will go, I read some of the manga. The male MC gets better at handling it, and there are some cute moments when Nagatoro gets embarrassed or protects him from other bullies (her friends), but thats it.

Umm if you can’t handle the plot of the first ep I don’t think you’ll be able to handle it at all.. there’s no point in skipping it, they all include bullying of some sort.

What’s the point of watching sth if you’re not getting the full experience. Episode 1 is a must watch. How are you gonna feel Nagatoro’s character development if you skip the first episode lol

First it isn't bullying in the first place, she's just teasing him a lil bit and because he's a p**sy he cries. But the first episode was actually very good and a lot better than the second episode,so pls watch the first one if you wanna watch it in the first place.

I could say it will get better. Nagatoro ain't purely bullies the MC because he's an idiot.


Try the first episode first without any expectations, and see if you'd enjoy it or not.

If you know it gets better, you should be able to handle it better, besides you don't have the suprise element. You'll probably be surprised about how light that was instead compared to the expectations.

Plus, no reason in watching a show skipping non filler parts, so...

If you like anime with good plots, this ain’t the show for you. This is just a comedic slice of life show. And if you can’t handle the bullying then don’t watch it.

No sense skipping episode 1, it’s very good.
Many people stopped it after ep.1 cause they think it’s all related to masochism or something like that, but mostly are 15yo which are still sucking mum tits.

I mean all of the episodes have varying amounts of bullying in them so it would be pointless to skip the first episode since the rest still have the same elements as the first.

This anime is still sucks, I don't hate this show because of bulling but because of the characters especially Nagatoro, hack I really get sick watch her

I am still watching this because I usually don't drop any anime unless it's unbearable like Future diary or Date a Live

Don't, if you want the backstory. Also it's not bullying at all, just teasing, idk why people think Nagatoro-san is bullying him. Senpai (protagonist) has actually been bullied before and he doesn't mind, why should we, as it's watchers do?

I second this, the first episode definitely gave the wrong impressions for both of the characters. Was going to drop this Anime but I'm glad that I gave a second chance.

the entire show is not about Nagatoro picking on senpai, thats just the first few episodes

I agree, it rises some points about the characters that are going to be explored, it's very interesting.

Also as a hole the character development is really subtle some times, wich really encourages the individual interpretation of some outcomes.

Yes the show has made it into its main gimmick, so yes bullying is a joke in Nagatoro and can be joked about

I think the first episode is good but leaves a fake impression to the viewers that the anime will continue like the first one. It's watchable but if anyone's gonna drop it they maybe should try to watch 2 more episodes just to understand the main structure of the series

You do know most of the anime is her teasing him? While episode might be a bit harsh, it wasn’t all bad. You should just skip this anime all together if that’s your problem.

It sounds to me this anime isn't for you. If you don't like the first episode then you probably won't like the rest of the show. You shouldn't skip any 1st episode of any show. Don't like the sound of a show Don't watch it. Give it a try and don't like it? Don't watch it. Simple.

I think the point of episode 1 was to showcase that this is the most/ limit of the teasing(not bullying) to show that yes, this anime features a girl teasing a guy to hide her feelings for him, and this is probably the worst it'll get for episode 1, and then onwards it becomes less teasing and more flirting, but from the MC's perspective she has no romantic interest in him, which is entirely nagatoro's fault for being inexperienced in these interactions.

Dude, ignore these people. The first episode (aka the first 3 chapters of the manga) are definitely on another level of bullying to the point it is not even funny or enjoyable. They really don't fit with the overall feeling of the series (manga reader here) and it feels like they are the chapter 0 of their own series (you know, like those pilot episodes where the author seems to have no effing idea what they want to do with the plot). Chug it down and hope that the rest of episodes will dilute the experience of the first episode, or not. Personally, I wouldn't risk losing any crucial information. Nevertheless, today's episode was a major fuck up because they changed an important scene for the development of their relationship. So you might wanna just skip the adaptation and go for the manga. You ain't losing much from animation and you get a better, more consistent, artstyle.

Watch the first episode like it's dark humor, don't take any of it seriously. They go overboard with the sadist gimmick, she isn't like that in the rest of the story.

I don’t see the point of skipping episode one, it’s legit just 23 minutes. Is it really that hard to watch one episode?
