In episode 1 at the very end the little drill robot thingy broke and then at the start of episode 2 it’s completely fine as they can still ride it... am I missing something or what?

it was when they had just gotten to the surface and then they were immediately attacks by gannmen and they ran away in lagann then they met leeron so idk
