This show is underrated

I'm surprised with the low mal score this show has. Its a solid 8.5 for me.

It's not a show about battles or mechas, its about art, artists (as the title says) and the process of creation, and explores this themes and the relation with the audience. Full of metacommentary and 4th wall breaking, the ending was good (reminded me in away of Sorcery, by Terry Pratchett) and elegant, the antagonist has a lot of charisma (and i liked her story) and the OST is very good.

Ye, it starts a bit weak but ramps up, 2nd season is better for me.

I enjoeyed the series too. It was fun, the music was great and ei aoki can deliver some very nice action scenes. I wouldn't call it underrated though. It's definitely not an 8.5 as OP suggests though. A sequel would be nice.

Yes! I personally agree it deserves more. I greatly enjoyed the show too. It does start off a bit iffy, but it got better throughout. The concept I found really interesting.

This anime is original, it doesn't come from a manga or anything.

I think he wanted to say the latter half of the show is the second season
